THE BRAND IS DRIVEN BY A WILL TO CREATE HIGH QUALITY SUSTAINABLY-MADE JEWELLERY THAT CAN BE WORN BY MEN AND WOMEN

Introducing an exclusive world of demi-fine luxury design jewellery that transcends boundaries and reimagines the art of adornment. Our creations are a fusion of architectural elegance and contemporary design, offering an iconic harmony of shapes and textures for both men and women.

OUR VALUES

1 . ARCHITECTURAL AND GENDERLESS

Each of our designs draws inspiration from an iconic building or architect, resulting in contemporary, timeless pieces.

We believe that, just like in architecture, every body has the ability to “inhabit” our jewellery.

2 . INNOVATIVE DESIGN PROCESS

We introduce a new design only when we believe it has successfully fulfilled the relationship with its architectural inspiration.

Our contemporary approach to the design process incorporates 3D digital modeling, and, crucially, 3D printing prototypes to ensure the accuracy of ergonomics, scale, and shape prior to crafting it in silver.

3 . SUSTAINABLE APPROACH

We specialise in limited editions and exclusive jewellery, while focusing on sustainability and waste reduction.

We take full responsibility for our production by using high-quality silver alloys, where we’re able to transform unused / damaged pieces made by us into something entirely new. Our packaging materials are eco- friendly, crafted from recycled and recyclable materials. All our jewellery pieces are certified by Casa da Moeda (INCM, Portugal) and proudly manufactured by skilled artisans in Portugal, under regulated working conditions.

MEET THE DESIGNER
.
Portuguese designer Sofia Esquivel has a background in architectural studies, performance design & art installation, and has now added the intricate work of silversmithing to her repertoire. Working between London and Lisbon, Esquivel has developed a unique brand of sustainable and wearable art, with each individual piece taking inspiration from the principles of architecture, as well as the forms of famous buildings and the iconic styles of inspirational architects.
.
Having worked for several years as part of a collective of artists and designers, creating commissioned sculptural and interactive artworks, this process of finding the perfect balance between design and sculpture lead her to explore the world of crafted jewellery, developing delicate hand-crafting techniques. Heavily influenced by her background in architecture, her process involves a combination of manual techniques combined with a contemporary technological approach to processes and design.
.
esquivel.jewellery gives voice to the designer’s ambition to merge her creative experiences, values and passions, culminating as one project with the aim to create timeless wearable artworks that tell a story.
